Predn Tàs Surfboard. Midlength.
The Tàs is a mid width, midlength surfboard designed for ease of paddling and high wave count. It adores smaller waves, but can still hold its own on bigger swells, due to its speed and minimal rocker, yet its pin tail allows for full manoeuvrability. It’s ideal for someone moving down in size from a long board or foamy, or the experienced surfer looking for a go-to quiver killer all round board. It’s super lightweight and strong sustainable construction. Hand crafted in North Cornwall, and the rocker, template and volume distribution are perfectly tweaked for ease of use and manoeuvrability. Especially in Cornish/UK (style) waves.
One off 1.5mm marine ply construction, with subtle hand drawn octopus design.
This board was a half completed project in the workshop a while back, finished by us to a very high standard. Due to unforeseen circumstances the workshop had to be abandoned, so we are selling cheaper than normal, for the customer.
Real wood veneered deck for flex and durability.
Flax fin box reinforcements on the base at the tail.

Predn construction
Predn, meaning 'wood' in Cornish, is our trademark construction, the one that best encapsulates our three pillars of performance, sustainability and accessibility. The super thin veneer (0.5mm) of your choice on the deck adds incredible toughness, practically eradicating compression dings, as well as a beautiful wooden aesthetic, each board having its own unique grain. The fin boxes are also reinforced with the same veneer as the deck. So with all these reinforcements in the right places, the Predn construction remains light, responsive and totally shreddable for much longer than any other performance board.
How is an eco surfboard built?
What is a sustainable surfboard?
Here is what we do...
We glass our boards with high quality high bio content epoxies, which is less harmful, much stronger and longer lasting than traditional resins. We use Resin Research epoxies as they are super high quality with great properties and they are always striving to improve on sustainability and quality. Always with an increasing bio content.
We hand-make our leash plugs using Cornish applewood and a brassl pin, which ages beautifully without losing its integrity. All our boards are hand-built with love and pride in our wind-powered workshop in Cornwall.
Delivery
Prices do not include delivery. As the cost of this is changing all the time we will have to arrange this once the order is completed, pick up from the shop is free and can be arranged for pretty much anytime. This is also the safest option, many a board has been broken in the back of a delivery van!
